Tribute to Vera Lynn
Samantha performs as Vera Lynn. With a classical voice that is very similar to Dame Vera’s she can deliver a vintage performance authentic in tone, mannerisms and costumes/uniforms. She will have you laughing, crying and singing along with famous and some less well known wartime numbers.
Samantha usually performs two 45 minute sets of vintage songs, a mix of well known songs and some that you might not have heard before. The majority of the songs are ones made famous by Dame Vera Lynn, with some Gracie Fields and famous american numbers thrown in for variety.
Samantha also has a theatre show called ‘The Vera Lynn Story’ available to theatres and cruise ships in 2017. It is a biography show commemorating Vera Lynn’s 100th Birthday. More information here.
A typical performance might include these songs:
After The Rain
Be Like The Kettle And Sing
Keep Your Sunny Side Up
Roll Out The Barrel
A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square
We’ll Meet Again
White Cliffs Of Dover
It’s A Lovely Day Tomorrow
Don’t Sit Under The Apple Tree
Wish Me Luck (As You Wave Me Goodbye)
Kiss Me Goodnight Sergeant Major
It’s A Long Way To Tipperary
When They Sound The Last All Clear
Bless ‘Em All
… just to name a few!
